Pork Barrel Launches in Effort to Bring Unity to the Nation
Washington, DC – In response to public protest over government bailouts and the growing federal deficit, Pork Barrel BBQ, LLC announced its official launch today in an effort to help unify the nation. “I’m certain every American believes in the value of great BBQ and I’m equally as certain Pork Barrel BBQ will be the catalyst that brings our nation together and speeds up its economic recovery,” said Heath Hall, President of Pork Barrel BBQ.
The founders of Pork Barrel BBQ are two former U.S. Senate staffers, Heath Hall, President and Brett Thompson, CEO, who share a passion for BBQ and America. The concept of Pork Barrel BBQ was born late one night during a contentious budget debate in the U.S. Senate when Heath and Brett, both fatigued staffers, dreamt about the bipartisan power of BBQ.
In a show of the bipartisan nature of Pork Barrel BBQ, the following statements were issued in support:
“They say making legislation is like making sausage. If all legislation was as good as Pork Barrel BBQ we’d get a lot more done in Congress.” -
formerCongressman Max Sandlin (D-TX)
“This is the kind of pork barrel we can all support.” -
formerSenator Jim Talent (R-MO)
The first product released in the Pork Barrel BBQ product line of gourmet spice rubs is the All American Spice Rub, an all-purpose rub cooks are sure to reach for when they are looking to add an All-American flavor to the meats, fish, poultry and vegetables. Made of all natural ingredients, with no preservatives or MSG, the All American Spice Rub has a smoky and slightly spicy flavor created from a combination of spices, chilies and herbs.
“In addition to our All American Spice Rub tasting great, it is made right here in America. The rub is manufactured locally in Virginia reducing our carbon footprint and we use tins that contain recycled steel and are fully recyclable and labels that are printed with soy ink. Our products are both good for American and the environment! Now what’s more bipartisan than that?” said Brett Thompson, CEO.
In order to speed the nation’s economic recovery, Pork Barrel BBQ is offering its own “stimulus package” at their website
http://www.PorkBarrelBBQ.com, – the “All-American Special” that includes a tin of Pork Barrel BBQ’s All American Spice Rub and a t-shirt for only $20. In addition to purchasing their products online, the All American Spice Rub is carried at local organic butchers “Let’s Meat on the Avenue” in Del Ray, Virginia and “the Organic Butcher of mclean” in McLean, Virginia.
“Whatever your beliefs, I believe we can all come together over great BBQ and we believe Pork Barrel BBQ will help you produce great BBQ. We hope our products bring bipartisan flavor to your next meal!” said Heath Hall, President of Pork Barrel BBQ.
