Memphis in May is just plain fun. It’s really everything we hoped it would be – the best thing has been making new friends, and getting to reconnect with folks on the BBQ circuit. We had a great day here in Memphis – we entered the Memphis in May BBQ Cooking Contest People’s Choice Contest. You turn in one on Thursday and Friday for folks to judge – we smoked ours with our Pork Barrel BBQ All American Spice Rub for 10 hours on our Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker – it turned out great. Heath was also busy in the kitchen creating two new Pork Barrel BBQ sauces for the Pork Barrel BBQ Restaurant in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria – a vinegar BBQ sauce and mustard based BBQ sauce.
