Pork Barrel BBQ has been a mainstay of Meat Week since we started – two years before they even had a restaurant to host us in!
Pork Barrel BBQ’s Meat Week Sampler will include 1/4 lb pulled pork, 1/4 lb brisket, Burnt Ends, a Texas beef sausage link, 2 Spare Ribs, Cornbread, and your choice of 2 sides for $23.95. A portion of the proceeds from each Sampler sold will be donated to Operation Barbecue Relief.
And Pork Barrel is once again hosting the “High on the Hog Eating Challenge” during their event. Competitors must eat:
A smackin’ daddy oversized sandwich
6 bone slab of Spareribs
Two Beef sausage links
Side of Mac and Cheese
Side of Potato Salad
Side of BBQ Beans
They will take a maximum of 7 competitors. There is a $25 entrance fee (paid just before the eating challenge starts) that will go to Operation BBQ Relief. The first person to finish wins a $50 gift card and anyone who can finish in under 45 minutes gets a t shirt.
The contest starts at 8pm.
